Well, it looks that DIRECT TV would prefer to use the services of official retailers to deal with the formalities complicated with the actual order and installation of the satellite system. Keep in mind that DIRECTV services the entire USA and it would be an complete nightmare for them to manage all of the orders and installation on their own.
